The Impact of Giving
As a non-profit, independent school, The New School relies on generous gifts to provide critical support to our operating budget above and beyond tuition.
Tuition covers approximately 80% of the cost to educate each student at The New School, with fundraising covering the remaining 20%.
2025 Annual Fund events will begin on November 14 and end on December 2 (Giving Tuesday), with a fundraising goal of $500,000. Giving is encouraged during this time period, but any and all gifts to the Annual Fund are welcome throughout the year. Please consider making a contribution that will enable us to continue providing a unique approach to education that can only be found at The New School!
ANNUAL FUND RUN
This year, we’re kicking things off with a Fun Run on Friday, November 14th on The New School campus. This will be a day filled with school spirit, energy, and community as we come together to support our Annual Fund!
Fun Run Schedule:
- Preschool & Pre-K: 10:10 AM & 10:30 AM
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 12:40 PM
- 2nd & 3rd Grade: 1:25 PM
- 4th & 5th Grade: 2:05 PM
- Middle School Color Run: 2:45 PM
Families are welcomed and encouraged to come cheer on our runners! All visitors must check in through the Main Lobby front desk before heading up to the field. If you are interested in volunteering on the day of the run, we would love your help! Click here to sign up to volunteer. This year’s Annual Fund goal is $500,000, and we're encouraging students to help us champion the first leg of the fundraising race from November 10-14th and raise 20% of our goal! Individual & school wide incentives will be rewarded - see below for prize details! The Fun Run will also kick off the rest of the Annual Fund pledge drive continuing through Giving Tuesday on December 2nd.

TAX RECEIPTS
All gifts made online will receive a tax receipt to the email address provided in the online giving form. Please use your preferred email address when making a gift online. If you did not receive your receipt or need another copy, please email Emma Veidt at emma.veidt@thenewschool.org.
